One of the top aspects that attracted me to CORT is the platform for career advancement in sales- as continued education and professional development is part of the CORT culture. I started with CORT as a Residential Account Executive and was promoted to a Sr. Account Executive shortly after. From there, I transitioned into a Territory Sales Manager role for one market, and then for multiple markets, and now, I am a Regional Sales Manager. I recently celebrated my 5 year anniversary and I look forward to many more future milestones!
23 years ago, when I started with CORT as a District General Manager, the position was involved in both sales and operations. Later, as the company grew, and sales and operations responsibilities were split into two roles, I decided to move from Supervising DGM to a Regional Sales Manager position with our Workplace team. I recently joined the Strategic Development team as a Director. CORT has allowed me to explore my interests while growing and developing mine and my employee’s careers.
When I started my journey with CORT, I never imagined acquiring the skills that I have today. CORT has taught me the importance of self-discipline and the power of strong relationships in business. In the last three years I’ve had the opportunity to excel from an Account Executive to a Territory Sales Manager. I am grateful to be a part of a company that not only believes in my potential but continuously pushes my professional growth.
CORT’s MIT-MBA rotational program promised an in-depth exposure to various disciplines within the organization and, over the last 9 years, CORT has absolutely delivered on that promise. Each of the roles that I’ve held has provided me with valuable knowledge and prepared me for success in the next role. While many companies prefer to maintain boundaries between disciplines with very little movement between groups, CORT is committed to fostering a culture of career growth and development and that has made a world of difference in my career.
